Vote

We share and participate in a free market in our land of the free. In a free market every-time you purchase something, you also make a dollar vote for the product/service and the company, managers, employees and equity holders. The success of the US is hugely due to the smooth operation of the Free Market. In a pure free market the best products/services successfully rise to the top gaining a larger market share. The intent of voting your dollars for a product/service is to reward the provider to continue to channel their passion and creativity into their future products/services. The provider is free (first amendment and the right to life, liberty and property) to spend profits any way they want to. To the extent that a provider puts time, energy, money and intellectual capital into a political position instead of his product and you do not agree with the said political position, your product/service vote is repurposed to something that has nothing to do with the product/service you bought (voted for) and votes against your political view. 

If this bothers you as it does me, you have the free market right to find a competitive product/service that either takes no political position or supports your political position. Personally, I prefer a Pure Free Market where competition is free of politics. I plan to severely limit purchasing from those that express political views opposed to mine. I will prefer purchasing from those expressing no political view. Lets have a Pure Free Market, please.

As an example of the potential downside of any company taking a political position, Politico, an organization that does not praise Donald Trump’s Executive Order on Immigration reported today the 55% of the electorate are in favor of the order. Also today 127 companies are fighting the Executive Order, “Travel Ban”. What if a large percentage of the electorate acted as I act. The value of these 127 companies would diminish.
